Anthony Joshua will face the American YouTuber in an eight-round match which will be shown in real-time on Netflix.
British boxer Anthony Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "overpower" the American as the combatants confronted each other to publicize the upcoming heavyweight fight.
Former two-time unified heavyweight champion Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive mismatch - at Miami Kaseya Center on December 19th.
Boxer's Mentality
"I plan to break his face and hurt his body. I'm here to prove my superiority," the British boxer, 35 years old, said.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I intend to genuinely try to injure him. That's what I want to do."
Civil Interaction
In spite of such comments, a composed Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - usually famous for his theatrics - shared friendly words and kept it respectful with each other.
Paul rather targeted former Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and called him "a joke" after the Cameroonian declined a fight offer.
Targeting Fury
Joshua, in the meantime, criticized British opponent Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a Paul victory.
"Jake Paul is better than Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer said.
"I respect him for that."
Legitimate Fighter
Despite declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to speak negatively about his rival's pugilistic talent.
"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.
Jake Paul's History
Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mostly boxed mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.
He was defeated by British fighter Fury in 2023.
Financial Success
However, the relative newcomer is still one of boxing's biggest commercial attractions, consistently making massive earnings.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28-year-old forecast a stoppage in rounds four or five and stated he would stop the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is reportedly in the works for two years from now.
"The next fight will be my match with Fury next year," Paul stated.
Size Difference
As Joshua and Paul participated in the traditional stare-down, with their physical disparity on show, it emphasized just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is really going ahead.
